Oldshue - Mary Canine

Word has been received here that Mrs. Mary W. OLDSHUE, a well known woman of this community had died at her home in St. Petersburg, Florida. She died at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning from the effects of a fall which she suffered Friday in which her hip was broken. Mrs. Oldshue was the widow of John L. Oldshue who died Dec 22, 1942. They went to St. Petersburg for residence 15 years ago, but she has spent her summers here since. Mrs. Oldshue was the daughter of Jackson and Sarah Foster CANINE. She was born Feb 19, 1864 near Waveland where she lived most of her life. She was married to Foster William Oldshue Aug 8, 1890. Mrs. Oldshue was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church and Daughters of the American Revolution in Crawfordsville. Surviving are a son and daughter, Forest Oldshue of Indianapolis and Mrs. Clara Wells of St. Pete. A daughter Vera Belle died at the age of 5. The funeral will be held at the Waveland Presbyterian Church Friday April 2 at 2. The sermon will be delivered by Rev. John Servies.
