VEEDERSBURG — William “Ted” Odle, 71, of 405 W. 9th St., Veedersburg, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He had been a police officer at Veedersburg, served as deputy sheriff of Fountain County and retired as a heavy equipment operator. A life resident of the Veedersburg area, he was a member of the Veedersburg First Christian Church. Born May 31, 1904, in Fountain County, he was a son of John T. and Mary M. Ogborn Odle. He was married to Ruby Drake on Sept. 25, 1930, at Lebanon. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Morris (Mary Ellen) Deisenroth of Monroe, Ohio; a brother, David of El Jobean, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Clenna Galloway of Wapakeneta, Ohio, and Mrs. Ewel (Lenna) Ritchey of Indianapolis; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dickerson Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Wood officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. --typed by Walt W
