COVINGTON — Funeral services for Mrs. Flossie N. Ocheltree, a resident here the last 40 years, were conducted Monday afternoon at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. Rev. Ernest Moore officiated, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Ocheltree died at 12:40 p.m. Saturday in Community Hospital at Williamsport, where she had been a patient the past week. She previously lived at Veedersburg and was a member there of the United Methodist Church. She was born near Westfield in Boone County on Aug. 7, 1884, a daughter of Thomas P. and Sarah Jones. She married Braize Olin Ocheltree on Sept. 26, 1903. He died Jan. 24, 1965. Surviving are three grandchildren, Mrs. Leon (Judith) Abernathy of Rt. 1, Covington, Mrs. Glenn (Sarah) Lang of Rt. 1, Kingman, and John David Ocheltree of Cates; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ola Mohr of Wabash, and nieces and nephews. Two sons and a daughter preceded Mrs. Ocheltree in death. --waw
