This morning shortly before ten o'clock Enos O'Connor, one of the best known men in Montgomery County died at his home a few miles East of this city, after an illness lasting two weeks. He had a severe case of pneumonia. Mr. O'Connor was born in Ireland about 77 years ago, but as a young man emigrated to this country and immediately settled in Montgomery County, where he has since lived. He has lived on the farm where he died for many years. In addition to farming he was a road contractor and has several contracts now uncompleted. He has been road superintendent of his district for a number of years. Two years ago he met with an accident, breaking his leg and he never fully recovered from this. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. His wife and four children survive him. The children are Mrs. Ella Fanning of Indianapolis, Julia, Patrick and Teresa. The time of the funeral has not been fixed. - kbz

The funeral of Enos O'Connor the well known farmer and gravel contractor who died Saturday at his home east of the city, was laid to rest today at Calvary Cemetery in a cement vault. The funeral took place at 10 at St. Bernard's Church when requiem mass was celebrated, Rev. Father TM Conroy, pastor of the Church being in charge of the service. A large number of mourning relatives and friends attended the funeral as the Church was crowded to capacity. The pall bearers were WC Murphy; John Drury; Will Fell and John Maloney of this city, William Agnew of Indianapolis and Francis Long of Lebanon.
