WAYNETOWN — Charles A. Norton, 90, a native of Kentucky and for 19 years a resident of the New Richmond community, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday in the Small Rest Home here, where he had lived the last four years. He was born Aug. 16, 1877 and was wed in December, 1902, to Nellie Grant at Lodenburg, Ky. They moved to the New Richmond area 19 years prior to entering the rest home in Waynetown. Mrs. Norton died here in January, 1965. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Otis Shaw of New Richmond, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are announced for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday. Rev. Robert Hayden of Thorntown will officiate, and burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery.

WAYNETOWN — Funeral services for Charles A. Norton were held Saturday morning at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Robert Hayden of Thorntown officiated. Mary Mullen played favorite selections on the organ. Pallbearers who assisted with flowers were Harold Pullen, Paul Pullen, Robert Haywood, Max Haywood, Rolald Freed and Donald Prather. Burial was in New Richmond Cemetery.
