Northcutt - Ella Terhune

Mrs. Ella V. Northcutt, longtime resident of Crawfordsville, died early Wednesday morning at the age of 88 at the Mapleview Nursing Home here. She had had an extended illness. She was the widow of a former city policeman, John L. Northcutt, who died in 1948. Born Jan. 10, 1879, in Tipton County, Mrs. Northcutt was the daughter of James W. and Martha Alderson Terhune. Mrs. Northcutt was a charter member of the First EUB Church of Crawfordsville. She had formerly resided with a granddaughter, Mrs. Beauton Cox of 1407 E. Main St. Survivors, in addition to the granddaughter, are two daughters, Mrs. Edna Lockhart and Mrs. Pearl Flaningam, both of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home here. Rev. Don Sharp will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. – jlr
