Nolan - Elizabeth Bane

Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal 9-20-1895 p10

On Saturday evening about 9 o’clock occurred the death of Mrs. Thomas E. Nolan. The body accompanied by Mrs. Nolan’s sister, Mrs. Vaughn, her husband and a few friends was taken to Lafayette Monday noon where the funeral occurs. Mrs. Nolan’s death was due to consumption and while the end has been anticipated for some time it finally comes in the nature of a shock to the many who were warm friends of this estimable lady. Mrs. Nolan had resided in Crawfordsville for about 12 years, being married to Thomas E. Nolan in Lafayette on April 11, 1883. Her maiden name was Elizabeth Bane and she was at the time of her death in the 31st year of her age. Mrs. Nolan was a devout member of St. Bernard’s church of this city and in her life and conduct she sustained most nobly the tenents of her religion. Her death is a peculiarly sad one and the bereaved family have the sympathy of all.  - kbz
