Nichols- Norman

Norman P. Nichols, 42, life resident of Montgomery county, died in Culver Hospital here Saturday. He was a patient there for only eight hours. Born at New Market, he was a graduate from high school at Alamo in 1940 and after farming, entered the Army and served 33 months in the pacific Theater during World War II. He was married to Alberta F. Rhoads, at Crawfordsville in 1946. He was employed by the R.R. Donnelly & Sons Co. in the bindery and press room for about 19 years. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church and was a deacon, financial secretary and church clerk at the time of his death.
Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Penny Daniele and Pamela Joann, and a son, Phillip Daniel, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Nichols; two brothers, George E. of Chicago and Oak G. of Mansfield, Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Witt of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Naomi Kinney of Waynetown and Mrs. Ruth Douglas of Darlington. – thanks to Kim H
