Mildred Louise Nichols, 86, Crawfordsville, died 11:23 a.m. Wednesday in St. Clare Medical Center.
Mrs. Nichols was a homemaker. Her memberships included Alamo Christian Church and the church's Ladies Aid Society, and she was a former member of Alamo Order of Eastern Star Chapter 498. She attended Montgomery County schools.
She was born June 17, 1917, at Crawfordsville, to Howard and Lora E. Keller Farley. She married Harold B. Nichols on Oct. 16, 1937, at Crawfordsville. He died in 1993.
Survivors include a son, Max, Crawfordsville; three brothers, Leslie Farley, Darlington, Gordon Farley, Lake Holiday, and Wayne Farley, Dover; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A brother, Austin Farley, is deceased.
Funeral services are scheduled 1:30 p.m. Friday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 S. Indiana 25, Waynetown, with the Rev. Terry Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Alamo Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today.
