Newton, Winnie - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Former Crawfordsville resident Winnie Newton died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Francis Hospital at Peoria, Ill. She was a member of the First Assembly of God at Peoria. Surviving are a son, Jason of California; four daughters, Versal Allison and Lela Johnson, both of California, Letha Maness of Peoria and Darlene Harris of Morton, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra. The funeral will be Sunday in Peoria. Graveside rites will be at 1 p.m. Monday at New Ross Cemetery with the Rev. John Smith officiating. – jlr
