New Richmond - Memorial services for the late Miss Stella Nesbitt were held in the New Richmond cemetery with Rev. Donald Wade in charge. Miss Nesbitt, 71, died in a hospital at Gulfport, Fla where she had been living for the past 10 years. Miss Nesbitt was a graduate of Illinois University and worked as a dietitian in a Children's Hospital in Washington and at a state institution at Hartford, Conn. She also was a ROckefeller Foundation teacher of students in China's Peking University. After traveling home through Indiana and Europe, Miss Nesbitt became state dietitian for the Indiana Board of Health. For two years in this capacity, she visited Indiana's schools overseeing the diets for school children. Failing health forced her retirement about 10 years ago. Survivors include two brothers, Herman and Claude Nesbitt, both of New Richmond.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Leonard and Mrs. Charles Winter of Georgetown, Ill, Mrs. Elmo Baum of Indianaola, Ill; Mrs. Gladys Nesbitt of Hillsboro and Mrs. Charles Parker of Veedesrburg were here to attend memorial services for Miss Stella Nesbit. - kbz
