Chas. Nelson who formerly lived at Brownvalley was brought home from Auburn, Cal Monday for burial. The funeral services were held on Monday afternoon and on Tuesday the body was taken to Liberty Cemetery north of Crawfordsville. Mr. Nelson was living on a ranch. The house caught fire in the night and he made his escape with difficulty in his night clothes. He wandered all that day and was found in the evening in a delirious state. That was January 26. He lingered for several weeks but never regained his mind. He was a brother of the late Mrs. John Foster. - kbz

The body of Charles Nelson who was burned to in Auburn, Cal was brought here Monday and taken to the home of his father in Brown’s Valley by Undertaker George Carver. Funeral services were held there at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon.  The body was brought back today and taken to Liberty Center cemetery northeast of this city for burial. - kbz
