Needham - Nellie Thompson

Mrs. Nellie Needham, age 78, resident of the Darlington commnity, died Thursday morning at the Enoch Nursing home here, where she had been a patient for the past 9 months. She had been in failing health the past two years and on Wednesday night was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage from which she never recovered. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louis Fisher of near Bowers. Mrs. Needham was the daughter of Enoch and Margaret Thompson and was born near Darlington March 3, 1866. On January 29, 1895, she was married to Sylvester Needham, who died June 25, 1939. To this union was born one daughter, Lois, who is now Mrs. Ray Fisher. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher and three grandchildren of the deceased, Jean, Kenneth and Alene Fisher survive. Mrs. Needham was the last of a family of six children. Her twin brother, Fred, preceded her in death 3 years ago. She was a faithful member of the Congregational Christian Church in Darlington. The body will be taken to the home of the daughter near Bowers Friday. The funeral will be held from the Congregational Chrisitian Church in Darlington Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev .
