Darlington- The funeral of Victor Neander took place at the home Sunday conducted by Rev. Broomfield, of Darlington, and under the direction of Darlington lodge No. 186, F. and A,M. The loss of a parent is always sad, but in this case much more, if it could be, than in many others. Taken in the prime of life, at the age of thirty-nine leaving a family of six small children. He had recently bought them a home and all were looking forward to a long life of peace and plenty when disease came and all has vanished and gone, and the mother is left to struggle alone and rear the family. Yet God has promised to care for all such, and we firmly believe he will fulfill his every promise. Interment was in the cemetery north of Colfax.- thanks to Kim H
