James W. Nash, 76, of 812 Lincoln Ave., Bedford, died Wednesday in Dunn Memorial Hospital at Bedford after an illness of several months: He was the father of Sgt. Raymond Nash of the Crawfordsville Police Department. Mr. Nash had retired from motel management with the Travel Lodge Corp., and prior to that had been employed by Honeykrust Bakery for 30 years. He was a member of Shawswick Lodge 177, IOOF, and Rebekah Lodge. Born Aug. 17, 1899, at Paxton, he was a son of Marvel W. and Ella Hoke Nash. He was married to Lois Mosier on April 20, 1929. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ann Acton of Bedford and Miss Sharon Nash of New Castle; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Carlislie; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Day & Carter Mortuary at Bedford with the Rev. Edward H. Kolbe officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
