Nichols - Cyrus C.

Cyrus C. Nichols, 80 years old, a resident of this County all
of his life, died at his home here Monday after a long illness
with a complication of diseases. Mr. Nichols was born near here,
and was living here at the time the civil war broke out. He
enlisted and served four years in the Union army, returning to
this community after the war. He was one of the best known
residents and had many friends in all parts of the County. He is
survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marion Tharp and Mrs. William
Everson, both of Whitesville, and one brother, Samuel Nichols, of
Waynetown. Funeral services will be held from the Christian
Church here at 10:30 Wednesday morning, in charge of Rev.
Beckett, of Galveston, Ind. = typed by kbz
