Two WPA workers of Crawfordsville, Orville NEWLIN and Warren
McINTYRE, were instantly killed two miles south of Crawfordsville
on No. 43 when the truck in which they were riding was run into
by a beer truck coming from the south. Six others were injured,
one of them Merle Lawton seriously. The men were on their way to
work on the New Market water work project. The driver of the beer
truck was asleep having driven all night from Evansville to
deliver beer in Lebanon Saturday morning. -- don't you wonder if the beer driver was nippin? - kbz - so sad
