William Myers, Sr., died at his home in Mill Creek township, Sunday evening, at the ripe old age of 89 years, 2 months and 7 days, having been a resident of the county since 1835. when he moved from Ohio, settling on Scott's prairie. Everybody knew uncle Billy Myrers; because he was a devout man and one whose life work was to benefit and love his fellow man. He was always a councillor and adviser in his community and everybody loved and respected him. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 120 a.m. from the Centnial church, conducgted by Rev. Nugent, the remains being interred in the adjacent cemetery. Mr. Myers was a devout member of the United Brethren church. A more extended notice will appear next week. (typed as printed)
