Wallie O. Myers, 81, former resident of this city, died Monday morning at 10 o' clock at Lafayette, following an illness of several years. Death was due to complications of diseases. The deceased was born in this city, the son of Mr. and Mrs T. N. Myers.He was married to Miss Nettie Holland of this city, many years ago. Mr.Myers lived in Chicago for many years but moved to Lafayette about 8 years ago and had made his home there since that time. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Nettie Myers; an aunt, Mrs. J. E. Ryan, of this city; six cousins, Mrs. H.O. Burgess, Ernest Myers, Mrs. Homer Long, Mrs. Minnie Ramey and Mrs. Belle Collins, all of this city, and a number of other relatives. Frank and Gus Holland, of this city, are nephews, by marriage. The funeral services probably will be held at the Hunt and Ratcliff funeral home on North Grant Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
