Theopolis Myers died at Chicago on Wednesday evening at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. George Binford, of liver disease after a long and painful illness, aged 68 years. He was a brother to George, Eli, and Chas. Myers, and Mrs. Chas. Ryan, of this city. His aged mother is still living, making her home with her daughter here. Mr. Myers left a wife and two children, Mrs. Binford and Wallie O. Myers, all residing in Chicago. Fountain county was the place of his birth, but all his life except his early boyhood and the last year which was in Chicago, was spent here. Twice he was elected to the office of county recorder. In politics he was a democrat. He was a life-long member of the Methodist church and was a prominent member of the Odd Fellows, and that order had charge of the funeral services which occurred on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ryan, Main street west, and were conducted by Rev. Brumbaugh, pastor of the M.E. church.
