HILLSBORO — Mrs. Nellie M. Myers, 77, a former Hillsboro resident, died Monday morning, April 15, at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. Mrs. Myers was born Aug. 24, 1890, at Mellott, the daughter of John and Rebecca Short Stephens. She was married in Hillsboro on June 10, 1911, to Glen E. Myers, who preceded her in death in 1946. She was a lifelong resident of the Hillsboro community and was a member of the New Century E.U.B. Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wreatha Lighty of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Gladys Campbell of Rt. 4, Veedersburg; three sons, James A. (Bud) of Norwich, Conn.; Raymond G. of Westernville, Ohio, and Dallas B. of Williamsport; 15 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Crumley and Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev. Ivan Steed officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
