Myers - Nellie Kern

-- Mrs. Nellie Gray Myers, 70, died at the Carmen Nursing Home Tuesday morning. She had resided at 1610 E. Wabash Avenue, with her daughter, Mrs. John L. Carrell. She was born August 12, 1899 in Boone County, daughter of Adam Curtis and Dora Elizabeth Thrine Kern. She was married twice, first to Homer K. Dulin and then Merle Myers. Both are deceased. She had resided in Crawfordsville since 1934. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Moose & VFW Auxuiliary here. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. A.C. Kern of New Market; three sons, Basil L. Dulin of Crawfordsville; Eugene Dulin of Rt. 1, Crawfordsville; and Richard Dulin of Rt. 1, Thorntown; four daughters, Mrs. Carrell of this city; Mrs. Wilbur Cox of Vacaville, Calif; Mrs. Dewie Turpin of Versailles, Ky; and Mrs. Sandra Robinson of Mesa, AZ; a brother, Basil Kern of Grenada Hills, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Hurcel Disney of Danville, Ind and Mrs. DL Bartley of LaPorte, Tx; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and sister. Funeral services will be conducted at Bright Funeral Home. Rev. BW Shook of Smartsburg Christian Church will officiate with burial in Mounts Run Cemetery east of Lebanon. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. - kbz
