COVINGTON — Mrs. Myra E. Myers died at 1 a.m. Sunday in the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington where she had been a patient for two months following surgery. She had been in ill health for three years. Born Aug. 28, 1893, at Ottawa, Ill., she was a daughter of Charles and Augusta Jones Wisher. On Dec. 25, 1913, she married Warren E. Myers. Mrs. Myers had been a resident of Covington since 1909 and was graduated from Covington High School. She also attended Millikin University. She was a member of the Fountain County Chorus and a member of the Covington Home Economics Club. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the Dixie and Illiana Drive-In Theaters in Danville, Ill. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Wisher Myers of Veedersburg and John T. Myers of Covington; a daughter, Mrs. Marsha E. Hanley of Covington; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Dickinson of Covington, Mrs. Gertrude Clark of Harlingen, Tex., and Mrs. Della Willford of Lawton, Okla., eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. EST at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home. Bennett Rosen will be the Christian Science Reader. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington. Friends may call at the funeral home.   --typed by Walt W

Covington, Ind. (CNS)-- Mrs. Myra E. Myers, 71, resident of Covington since 1904, died at 1 a.m. Sunday (March 21, 1965) at Rudisill Nursing Home, Covington, where she had be a patient two months. She had been in ill health the past three years. Born Aug. 28, 1893 in Ottawa, she was the daughter of Charles and Agusta Jones Wisher. She married Warren Myers on Dec. 25, 1913. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Wisher Myers, Veedersburg and John Myers, Covington; a daughter, Mrs. Marsha Hanley, Covington; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson; and three sisters, Mrs. Maude Dickerson, Covington, Mrs. Gertrude Clark, Harlinger, Tex., and Mrs. Della Willford, Lawton, Okla. She was the youngest of seven children. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Mrs. Myers was taken into the home of her sister, Maude, following the death of her parents. She was graduated from Covington High and attended Millikin University, Decatur. She was a member of the Fountain County Chorus and county home economic club. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the Dixie and Illiana drive-in theater. She also gave private music lessons. Services will be at 3 p.m. (EST) Tuesday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Bennett Rosen, Christian Science reader, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
