Myers - Mary Briggs

Waynetown, May 13 - Mrs. Mary Myers, 73, died at her home here Saturday afternoon at 2:20 o'clock. She had been ill since last January with paralysis. Born at Kingman, May 25, 1866, Mrs. Myers was a daughter of James and Sarah Cory Biggs (sic). In 1884 she married James M. Myers. Mrs. Myers had lived here the past 37 years, residing in Kingman previous to that time. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Fern Sumner, Crawfordsville; three sons, Roy Myers, Long Beach, Calif; Paul Myers, Atlanta, GA and Harry Myers, Waynetown; two brothers, John Biggs, Muncie, and Millard Biggs, Terre Haute; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Ratcliff, Indianapolis and Mrs. Will Bosher, Catatoba, Wis; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Baptist Church here with Rev. IC Overman officiating. Burial was made in the local Masonic Cemetery. - transcribed by kbz
