Lucy C. Myers 78, died suddenly at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday Aug 2 1960 at the Vermillion County hospital. She lived with her daughter, Mrs. Geneva Weaver, Route 1, Waveland. Mrs. Myers, born June 24, 1882 was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth. Gillum Dix. She was married to Jesse T. Myers Dec 31, 1902. Mrs. Myers had lived in Parke County all her life. She was a graduate of KHS in 1902. She was a member of the Byron Christian Church and had worked 16 years at the Turkey Run state park. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Weaver; a son Wayne Myers of South Bend; a brother Ben Dix of Troutdale, Oregon; four sisters: a twin, Mrs. Perry Sowers of Poplar Grove, Ill; Mrs. Lena Millikan of Bolder, Col; Mrs. Gertrude Newlin of New London, Conn; and Mrs. Eve Ferguson of Raritan, Ill. She had 8 grandchildren; 20 greats and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services at 2 p.m at the Bryon Christian Church with burial in Wolfe Creek. --kbz
