ATTICA --Lonnie Myers, 79, resident of Attica for 40 years, died Monday morning in a hospital at Williamsport, two miles from Attica. He had been ill for two weeks. Mr. Myers was born about three miles southeast of Wallace in Parke County. He was a retired employee of the Harrison Steel Company in Attica where he had worked for many years. Mr. Myers is survived by the widow, Mrs. Rachel Dotson Myers; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Kite of Brownsburg, Mrs. Evelyn Harris, Mrs. Mary Cleveland and Mrs. Maxine Batchelor, all of Attica; a half-sister, Mrs. Arthur Cordes of Crawfordsville; two nephews, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will he held Wednesday in Attica. Arrangements are incomplete.

Attica — Lonnie D. Myers, age 79, of 603 S. McDonald St., died at 5 a.m. Monday, May 20, at the Community Hospital. He had resided in Attica for 46 years. Born Aug. 7, 1883, south of Wallace, he was the son of Bloomer and Etta Myers. He was married March 7, 1910, at Rockville to Rachael Dotson, who survives. Mr. Myers had been employed as a core maker at Harrison Steel Foundry for 38 years. He retired in 1954. Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Pudley Knight of Brownsburg, Mrs. Paul Harris, Mrs. Dallas Cleveland and Mrs. William Batchelor, all of Attica; a half-sister, Mrs. Arthur Codes of Crawfordsville, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held this afternoon, Wednesday, at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. James Nealeigh officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
