THORNTOWN – Kenneth D. Myers, 65, of Thorntown, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Cold Springs Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis where he had been a patient since June 5. He had been a barber in Boone County and surrounding area until his retirement 10 years ago. Mr. Myers was a member of the Christian Liberty Church near Lebanon; had served in the U. S. Army during World War II; attended schools in Marion Township of Boone County; and was a life resident of the county. He had lived at Thorntown since 1945. Born Aug. 12, 1909, in Boone County, he was a son of John and Dora Hart Myers. Survivors include a brother, Cloyd of Lebanon, and a sister, Zula, of Thorntown. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Russell & Hitch Funeral Home here with the Rev. Robert Hayden officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
