Myers - Jewell Starnes

Mrs. Jewell C. Myers 72 of Waynetown died unexpectedly Monday November 16, 1970 at 3 p.m. at her home four miles south of Waynetown. She was born August 8, 1898 at Wallace, the daughter of Ellsworth and Mahala Alward Starnes. On August 20, 1916, she married Forein Myers of Wallace. She was a member of the Wallace Freedom Congregational Church and had resided her entire life in the Waynetown and Wallace communities. She attended Wallace High School. Survivors include her husband: six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Jones; Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Pryor; Mrs. Bill (Marjorie) Calder all of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Dallas (Wanda) Dussin of Speedway; Mrs. Keith (Mary) Wray of Whitestown and Mrs. Cecil (Deloris) Jordan of Orange, California; four sons, Paul of Waynetown and Charles, Raymond and William, all of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Faris Starnes of Kingman and Arthur Starnes of Albuquerque, NM; 33 grandchildren and 8 greats. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. S ervices will be at 11 a.m. EST Thursday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, with the Rev. John R. Servies officiating, assisted by Rev. GE Tremaine. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday. - transcribed by kbz
