Myers - Ivy Livengood

Mrs. Ivy M. Myers, 79 of the Hillsboro community d in her sleep Thurs in the Rudisill Nurs home in Covington. She had gone to sleep after lunch and death came at 2 p.m. Mrs. Myers was the daughter of Levi  and Stella Frazier Livengood and was born on a farm south east of Hillsboro on November 6, 1883. All of her life was spent on the same farm with the exception of the past few years that she and her husband spent in Nursing homes in Crawfordsville and Covington.  She was married to Hamilton Myers who survives. The only  other survivors are cousins.  Mrs. Myers was a member of the Prarie Chapel Church of this community and had served as secretary of the Ladies Aid Society for a number of years. Funeral services were held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Orville Woody of Whitestown a former pastor at Priariie Chapel officiating. Organ mucis was by Mrs. Lucy Crumley. The pall bearers were: Albert Davidson; George Hesler; Tom Holt; Ed Hoffhauser; Virgil Ellis and Gene Stockdale. Burial was the  Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown. - transcribed by kbz
