Mrs. Hazel F. Myers, 79, of 214 W. Wabash Ave., died Thursday afternoon in Culver Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Myers, for many years, was a partner in the J.J. Clements Co., here, which was started by her father. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Art League and St. Bernard's Catholic Church. She was a graduate of New Market High School and State Normal College. A Montgomery County native, she was born Sept. 29, 1888, to James J. and Flora (Spaulding) Clements. Her husband, Ben Myers, died in November of 1965. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Flora ( Carrington) Wells of Indianapolis and Mrs. Maryha (Carrington) Means of Lakesport, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Mason of Crawfordsville and two cousins, Mrs. Winnie Beeson of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Lou Gilliland of Waveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home here with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry F. Ward officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
