Dr. Ensminger held a post mortem examination on the remains of George Myers this morning and found the brain had been badly injured and a large abscess formed from the effects of the blow. Nothing could have been done which would have effected his recovery.

The sad news was announced this morning of the death of George Myers, the 14 year old youth who was kicked by a mule some two weeks ago near Linden. He was removed to his home just northwest of the city, and at first bid fair to recover, but as time passed on it was plain that he must in the end succumb. He was a boy of almost perfect character and his death is a blow not only to his family, but to his entire neighborhood. The funeral will occur tomorrow at Alamo at 3 p.m., Rev. G. W. Switzer officiating. The funeral procession will leave the family residence at 12:30 p.m.
