Yesterday afternoon Charley Myers, an aged German living two miles north of the town on the Monon, was in the city on foot. He was quite feeble and when he started for home late in the day, it was remarked that he was in danger of falling and freezing to death. He did not arrive at home last night and this afternoon some of the family was in the city searching for him. Upon learning that he had left yesterday for home they declared that he must have fallen somewhere in the woods and frozen. Search is now being made for his body.

Charley Myers, the old German who it was thought had frozen to death, has been found alive and well. He took on too much of the juice of joy and was found last night at the Sherman house where he had drifted. His family was almost wild about him and thought he was surely dead. Myers has served 22 years of his life as a soldier. He went through the Crimean War and through our own rebellion.
