Waynetown, Ind -- Carol Myers, 74, of Waynetown Rt 1, died at 8;30 p.m. Tuesday Oct 23, 1973 at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had been a patient since Sunday. Mr. Myers had farmed in the Alamo community since 1925. He was supervisor of the Soil and Water Conservation District in Montgomery County until he retired in 1972. Born Dec. 14, 1899 in Fountain County, he was the son of Everett and Mary Ellen Harvey Myers. He was married November 16, 1918 to Sybil E. Atkinson of near Kingman. She survives. He was a 50-year-member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge 3621 of Kingman and a member of the former Ridge Farm EUB Church. He had attended Fountain County schools. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Nellie Mae) Hall of Waynetown Rt. 1; and two grandchildren, Robert G. Hall of Wynetown Rt 1 and Mrs. Vicki Lynn Ridge of Honolulu, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Services will be at 2 p.m. Firday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home. The Rev. Morris Finch will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
