HILLSBORO — Ernest C. Myer, 65, former real estate broker and owner of the former Myer Insurance Agency in Hillsboro, died Sunday, at Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for five days. Mr. Myer was a former vice president of the Farmer's Mutual Insurance Co., in Indianapolis and was a board member of the Town & Country Insurance Co., also of Indianapolis. He was a former board member of the Hillsboro State Bank and had served as trustee of Cain Township for four years. Mr. Myer was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and had served on the board for several years. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and was also a member of Hillsboro Lodge 385, F&AM. He was born Nov. 4, 1906, in Fountain County, the son of Hyson and Debbie Long Myer. He was married to Carol Cooper of Hillsboro in April, 1931. Mr. Myer and his wife had resided at 6145 Midnight Pass Road, Sarasota, Fla., for the past three years. He is survived by the widow; a son, Gary of Sarasota, and two granddaughters. Services will be conducted at the R. J. Lew Funeral Home in Sarasota at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Sarasota Memorial Park. --typed by Walt W
