Mable Mutterspaugh dies after long illness -- Mable Mutterspahg, North Montgomery School Board member, died Sunday in her home on Rt 5, Crawfordsville after a long illness. Mrs. Mutterspaugh, 52, had been elected to the North Montgomery School Board in 1980. She had been employed by the North Montgomery School as a teacher's aide and a library aide. She was a member of Darlington Christian Church, Darlington, Book Lovers Club, Darlington Library Board, Montgom ery County Mental Health Association and the adult chapter of Fellowsh ip of CHristian Athletes. Born May 12, 1928, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of Jesse H. and Edith Osborne Hicks. She was graduated from Battleground HS and attended Purdue University. In 1964, she married Emerson Mutterspaugh at Lafayette, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Michael P. Mutterspaugh of Crawfordsville, a daughter, Mrs. Laura Hutson of Crawfordsville, five brothers, Jesse, Lester, Albert, Fred and Harold Hicks; five sisters, Ethel Verden, Alice Mix, Grace Taylor, Donna Brumfield and Helen Lemon and 10 grandchildren. She was prceded in death by two daughters, Pamela and Nancy and a sister, Inez. Services are at 7 p.m. W ed in Burkhart Funeral Home, Darlington Chapel with the Rev. Hubert Bunkley offic. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m. Tuesday. The family requests memorial donations to be made to the Montgomery County Chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Crawfordsville - Mrs. Mable Mutterspaugh, 52 died Sunday in her residence at Rt 5, Crawfordsville. Born in Montgomery County, she was a graduate of Battle ground HS and attended Purdue University. Mrs. Mutterspaugh was a teachers aide and library aide at North Montgomery HS. She was a member of Darlington Christian Church, Darlington Book Lovers club, Darlington Library, Montgomery County Health Board and was elected to North Montgomery School Board in 1980. She also was a member of the adult chapter of Fellowship for Christian Athletes. She is survived by her husband, Emerson Mutterspaugh; a son, Michael Mutterspaugh of Crawfordsville; one daughter, Mrs. Laura Hutson of Crawfordsville; five brothers (sic- should be uncles) Jesse, Lester, Albert, Fred and Harold Hicks; and five sisters (sic - should be aunts), Ethel Virden, Alice Mix, Grace Taylor, Donna Brumfield and Helen Lemon.
