HILLSBORO — Mrs. Mary Murrin, 57, a former Hillsboro resident, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., Saturday morning. Mrs. Murrin, who was listed in "Who's Who of American Women," was born in Fountain County Nov. 26, 1906, to Elijah and Pearl Crowder. She married Harold Murrin of Veedersburg July 22, 1927. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in 1924. She worked in the credit bureau in Danville since then and was past president of the Association of Credit Bureaus of America 5th district. She was the first woman to be elected to office in the 5th district and was the first woman to represent the 5th district on the national board. Mrs. Murrin was a member of St. Paul's church in Danville, the Danville Country Club and the Professional Women's Club. She is survived by her husband; one son, Robert Murrin of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Volger of Westport, Conn.; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Davidson of Clarks Hill and eight grandchildren. Services were at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery near Danville. The rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Jones-Sullivan Funeral Home in Danville.  --typed by Walt W

VEEDERSBURG — Funeral services for Mrs. Mary B. Murrin, age 57, a resident of Danville, Ill., native of Fountain County and former resident of Veedersburg, who died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, were held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Church in Danville. The Rev. C. B. Motsett officiated and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville. Mrs. Murrin was born Nov. 26, 1906, in Fountain County, the daughter of E. M. and Pearl Evans Crowder. On July 22, 1927, she was married to Harold Murrin of Veedersburg, and he survives. She was the manager of the Vermilion County Credit Bureau in Danville, Ill., and had been associated with them since 1924. She is listed among Who's Who of American Women and was a past vice-president of the Association of Credit Bureaus of America, fifth district. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Danville Country Club, and the Business & Professional Women's Club. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: one son, Robert K. of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Vogler of Westport, Conn.; eight grandchildren; her mother; and one sister, Mrs. Mildred Davidson of Clarksville.   --typed by Walt W
