Murray - Mary Richardson

Mrs. James Murray died at her home on East Howard Street, early on Thursday morning. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church on Saturday by Rev. Char. Greenfield. Mary Richardson was born in Cass County, Indiana, March 22, 1833. She married James Murray August 8, 1867. Their children were John T., who died January 22, 1869, and Mrs. Carrie E. Dooley. Mrs. Murray joined the Goshen Baptist Church in Parke County, and afterwards transferred her membership to Freedom Church. The Waveland Baptist Church was organized in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Murray, August 10, 1886, she thus being one of the charter members. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, daughter, two grandchildren, two sisters and one brother and a large circle of friends to whom her life was an example for good.
