Crawfordsville, July 4- William C. Murphy, 67, former mayor of Crawfordsville died today at his home here following a brief illness. Death was caused by a heart attack which he suffered Saturday. He was born in Ohio and came here when 13 years old. Murphy was identified prominently with the business life of Crawfordsville, having conducted a clothing store here.  He was a member of the Democratic party and took an active part in party affairs. He is survived by two sons, William C., Jr., Washington newspaper man and John at home. Funeral services will be held here Thursday.

Crawfordsville, Ind July 5- Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. for William C. Murphy, former mayor of Crawfordsville who died yesterday following a brief illness. Burial will be in Greencastle. He is survived by two sons, William C. Murphy. Jr of Washington staff of the Philadelphia Public Ledger and John Murphy of Crawfordsville. A brother, John Murphy of Pittsburgh also survives.
