Note: Died __ March 1977 Mrs. Viola "Vi" Murphy, 66, of 710 South Boulevard, who resided in the Wingate and Waynetown area before moving to Crawfordsville in 1969, died Saturday morning in Ben Hur Nursing Home, where she had resided for nine months. She was a member of Elmdale Community Church and Elmdale Ladies Aid. She attended Wingate High School. Born Aug. 18, 1910, at Waterview, Ky., she was a daughter of James and Lillian Mae Spears Cooksey. She was married Nov. 18, 1930, at Wingate to Robert A. Murphy. He survives. Other survivors are her mother, a resident of Lane House at Crawfordsville; two sons, James Lee and Jack A. of Crawfordsville; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Parker and Mrs. Kinn Lodsdon of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Nellie Blacker of St. Cloud, Fla., and Mrs. Eva Miller of Alamo; and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. Stanley Robertson Hall officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home.
