Mrs. Sarah Rebecca Murphy, 77 former resident of Grammar died at 5:15 o’clock last night in the Greensburg hospital where she had been a patient since last Friday. She had been ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Shirley Davis in Sandusky two weeks before she was taken to the hospital. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 o’clock tonight at the home of the daughter in Sandusky, conducted by Rev. EG Jann and at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in Waynetown Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Albritten. Burial will be made in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Mrs. Murphy was born March 12, 1864 in Marion, daughter of Washington and Jane Murphy Harter. Her husband Palmer Murphy died in 1934. Mrs. Murphy lived in Grammar before she went to Sandusky. Survivors besides the daughter include three sons: Cecil Murphy of Waynetown, Charles Murphy of Westport and Fern Murphy of Grammar; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one brother, Henry Harter of Farmer City, Ill. One brother and one sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Murphy was a member of the Grammar Presbyterian Church. She was active in church work and taught in the Bible class as long as her health permitted. - kbz
