Kingman, Ind - Mrs. Joan Murphy, 44 of 805 E. Market, Crawfordsville, died early Wednesday June 23, 1971 at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been ill for over a year. Born November 1, 1926, in Kingman, she was the daughter of Harry and Nora Manning Ratcliff. She was married to Michael Murphy Jan 13, 1961. She was a receptionist for the late Dr A.V. Ratcliff of Kingman. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. S.K. Neely and later Dr. Fred Cantrell. She was a graduate of Kingman High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid Society and Indiana Dental Assistants Association. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Andrea at home; a son, Aaron at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ratcliff of Kingman Rt 1; a brother, Harry George Ratcliff and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Woodrow Funeral Home with Rev Luther Page officiating. Burial will be in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
