MURIETT, Frank N. Whitlock Place, aged 70, a retired druggist and veteran of the civil war, died at his home Monday afternoon from a complication of diseases after an illness of one year. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Nov 16, 1840 and when a boy went to sea, where he remained before the mast for three years. When he left the ocean he came to Michigan, where he enlisted in Co. K of the 3rd Mich. Vol. He went with his regiement to Va, where he received a gun shot wound which permanently disabled him and he was honorably discharged from further service. After the war he went to Milford, Ill, where he was engaged in business for many years. In 1898 he came with his family to Ladoga where he remained two years in the drug business. He then came here and purchased the drug store of T. D. Brown, on E. Main St. and continued in the business three years after which he retired six years ago. His son, J. A. Muriett, was in business with him here. He married Miss Harriet A. LIEST while at Gillium, Ill. in 1873 and to this union one son was born. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, having joined when a boy in Denmark. He was also a member of the McPherson Post, GAR of this city. The funeral will take place this evening at half-past 7 at the home and will be private. It will be in charge of the post. Chaplain B.F. Crabbs will have charge of the services. E. R. Holmes, formerly of Milford a warm personal friend of the deceased will sing. Members of McPherson Post will act as pall bearers in the morning when the body is taken to the Big Four station to be shipped to Milford, Ill for burial. The GAR post there will have charge of the burial services.

F. N. Murriett (Hattie, wife) had a repair shop at 104 S. Water St, and his home was at 315 E. Binford Street, Crawfordsville.
