Linden - Millard E. Murdock, 50, resident in the Kirkpatrick community all his life, died Monday morning at 8:45 o'clock following a heart attack. He had been in good health and the heart attack was sudden. Murdock was born in Montgomery County Nov 12, 1912. He was the son of Samuel J. and Elizabeth Vail Murdock. The mother still survives and resides in Linden. Murdock was married to Edna Hazel Bartlette Aug 14, 1938 in Kentucky. She survives. Murdock was educated in Linden schools. Member of Linden Methodist Church. Murdock was an employee of the Kirkpatrick Grain Elevator and worked there a number of years. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Leonard Dalton of Lafayette and two brothers, Harold Murdock of Missouri and Floyd Murdock of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by two brothers and his father. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Helms Funeral Chapel at Linden, Rev. Willis Syphers pastor of the Methodist Church at Linden will officiate. Burial in Linden Cemetery. - kbz
