At his residence near New Market, this county on Tuesday morning Nov 14, 1876 at 3 o'clock of typhoid fever, Mr. James G. Mullikin died, aged 48 years 3 months.
-- On the previous day, Nov 13th at 7 o'clock a.m. of consumption, Mrs. Samantha C. Mullikin, wife of J.G.; aged 41 years 10 months.
Thus passed away both husband and wife within 24 hours. Their remains were interred in the same grave at Freedom Church Cemetery on Wednesday of this week. Rev. Reese Davis officiating.
The deceased leave 3 children to mourn an irreparable loss.
