Claud S. Mullen, 92 of Darlington, died Wednesday Aug 11, 1971 in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville following a short illness. . He was a farmer in Montgomery County and raced harness horses. He was born Sept. 21, 1878 in Montgomery County to Albert and Clara Hiatt Mullen. He was married to Grace Hall in 1896 in Darlington. Mr. Mullen was a member of the Darlington Congregational Church and a 50-year member of the Darlington Masonic Lodge. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Alberta) Royer and Mrs. Cecil (Mabe)l Cox of Darlington; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son Lester and daughter, Eva. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bright & Burkhart Funeral Home in Darlington. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday. - kbz
