JD MURPHY, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Darlington  died at that place yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John  Kersey at the age of 84. Five daughter and 3 sons survie: Mrs. George  Benefiel of Frankfort; Mrs. Ora Kersey of Darlington; Mrs. James Hulet  of Michigan City; Mrs. George Davis of Colfax; Mrs. Ed Bartholomew of  Clark's Hill; Joe of Lafayette; US of Colfax and WH of Darlington. The  funeral services will occur Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the  Christian Church in Darlington and will be conducted by Rev. AW Jackman  of Battle Ground. Interment in Darlington Odd Fellows Cemetery. - transcribed by kbz
