Linden, Aug 7 - Mrs. Ellen MURPHY, 69, who formerly resided in Linden died at 7:30 o'clock Saturday night at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Lafayette. Mrs. Murphy had left her home in Chicago to visit in Linden when she was stricken with a heart ailment. The deceased was born July 24, 1869 in Ireland, the daughter of Michael and Mary Scheehy Doody and came to this country in 1889, arriving at Chicago May 20 of that year. She was married to James Murphy who preceded her in death. Mrs. Murphy was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church at Crawfordsville. Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Mary L. Griffin of Chicago and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Bernard's Church in charge of Rev. William Maloney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. - kbz
