John G. MUHLEISEN, life-long resident of Crawfordsville died suddenly at his
home here Friday night. Mr. Muhleisen´s health was caused by heart trouble and
followed a brief illness. Although his health had not been good for the past
year his condition was not regarded as serious and his passing comes as a shock
to his many friends. Mr. Muhleisen was born April 30, 1867, the son of John G.
and Elizabeth Muhleisen. He died only a block from where he was born having
spent his entire life at 111 E. Wabash Avenue or in the immediate neighborhood.
He was a member of the Eagles & Red men lodges and for many ears had been
associated with John Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a
brother William A. Muhleisen who passed away Dec 27, 1923. Those surviving are
a brother and sister, Henry Muhleisen and Miss Hannah Muhleisen both of this
city. The sister for many ears was prominently identified with the city
schools. The funeral services will be conducted at the home at 111 E. Wabash
Avenue Monday afternoon at 2 burial will be made in the family lot at Oak Hill
