Crawfordsville July 31 – Alfred Davenport, 47 figured in two fatal accidents in Montgomery County during the weekend. Miss Mary Fletcher, 17 of Darlington died today after being wounded accidentally Saturday night by Davenport. An automatic pistol which he was unloading was discharged and the bullet inflicted the wound that caused her death. Last night, Davenport was riding with his nephew, Hobart Davenport. The car struck and killed Wilbur Mount, 53 years old, while Mount was walking along state road No 46 (sic-47) four miles northeast of this city. - kbz
