Mount - Finley Pogue - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Finley Pogue Mount, 71 years old, pres of Advance-Rumely corporation, manufacturers of agricultural implements, died yesterday in his summer home at Burt Lake, Michigan according to word received here.  He had been ill for months from a heart ailment and had planned to retire from active business soon.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Rosehill cemetery.  Mr. Mount was born in Crawfordsville, Ind and was graduated from Wabash College in 1890.  He practiced law in Crawfordsville from 1892 to 1912 and later in Indianapolis.  In 1915 he was named receiver for the Rumely company.  He became president in 1916.  He was a former president of the Farm Equipment Institute years ago.  Mr. Mount’s Chicago home was at 222 Delaware place. - kz
